Age

Age Related to Heart Disease

The range of patients who had heart disease were between the ages of 29 to 77 years of age. People who are between the ages of 55 to 65 are at a higher risk for heart disease.

Age Analysis System

This graph shows the age groups that have a greater chance of having heart disease.

Age Group Having Critical Chest Pain

Patients suffering from critical chest pain range in age from 34 to 69 years old. The ages that suffer most from this symptom are 52, 59, 64, and 69.

Blood Pressure + Cholesterol

Blood Pressure vs. Cholesterol

Cholesterol causes plaque build up in the arteries. When this happens, the heart has to pump twice as hard to provide oxygen and blood to your body which leads to high blood pressure.

Fasting Blood Pressure in Relation to Heart Disease

Fasting bllod sugar levels give vital clues about how a person's body is managing blood sugar. Levels greater than 120 mg/dl is an indicator that the patient can be at risk of coronary heart disease. In our dataset, there was a higher percentage of people who had fasting blood sugar levels less than 120 mg/dl.

Heart Disease Frequency According to FBS

Although there is a correlation between Fasting Blood Sugar and Heart Disease not all people who suffer from heart disease have FBS higher than 120 mg/dl. In our dataset, there was a lower percentage of people who have and don't have heart disease that also had fasting blood sugar greater than 120 mg/dl.

Chest Pain

Chest Pain Type

This graph shows the intensity of pain that the patient is exeriencing.

Gender

Heart Disease & Gender

Studies show that men are more likely to have heart disease than women because men score higher in stress-related psychosocial coronary risk factors.

Heart Disease Frequency for Gender

We measured the differences between individuals who have heart disease and those who do not. We found that men are more likely to have heart disease than men .

Target in Relation to Heart Disease

51.32% of patients in our dataset have heart problems and 46.68% do not (This graph is based on both genders).

Heart Disease

Exercise Induced Angina in Relation to Heart Disease

Exercise can bring on angina, but it is recommended to only do it when supervised my a clinician. The graph is showing that, from our dataset, many of our patients did not have chest pain during exercise.

Thalassemia & Heart Disease

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects the red blood cells. When the red blood cells are abnormal or you don't have enough, this affects the bodies natural ability to carry oxygen throughout the body. Based on the graph, you can see that Level 2 and 3 are the worst levels because it increases your chances of heart disease.

Relation Between Resting ECG & Target

Checking Resting ECG's is important because doctors check your heart rhythm for any irregularities and compare them to the exercised induced heart rate. 0 is considered normal heart rhythms, 1, is abnormal heart rhythms, and 2 is severe heart rhythms.

Algorithms

Algorithms & Accuracy Scores

For our machine learning portion, we compared Logistic Regression, SVM, and K-Nearest to see which test would provide the most accurate results.
